Willie Dean Nelson

Funeral services for Willie Nelson, 75, of Many, were held on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Oak Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Brian Gilcrease officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery (Toro).

Willie Nelson was born on Sunday, July 28, 1946 in Florien. He passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at his residence in Many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Willie Nelson and Ruth Marie (Busby) Nelson; sister, Bobbie Wood; daughter, Angela Nelson; and his grandson, Kaleb Brewer.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Nelson of Many; sisters, Marlene Pugh of Florien; Debra Carefoot and husband David of Dothan, Alabama; brother, Pat Nelson and wife Liz of Florien; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers were: Jimmy Walters, Michael O’Briant, Christopher Brewer, Bubba Savell, Berry Goss, Conrad Walters and Chuck Withers.
