Elizabeth Mitchell

Funeral services for Elizabeth Mitchell, 97, of Many were held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at First United Methodist Church of Many with Rev. Ray Spiller and Rev. Bryan Coplin officiating. Burial followed in the Many Cemetery.

Elizabeth Mitchell was born on Wednesday, May 14, 1924 in New Orleans. She passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021 at Willis Knighton Bossier in Shreveport.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Builtman and Bessie (Tramel) Builtman; husband, Leon Davis Mitchell, Jr.; and her brother, James Builtman.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane Hardwick of Many; son, Bruce Mitchell of Many; three grandchildren, Emily Hardwick; Laura Hardwick; and Kayla Hardwick; all of Spring, Texas; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers were Kevin Bradford, Jim Builteman, Michael Goodheart, Scott Lites, Bob Nolen and Jerry Johnson.
