Mary Ellen McMillion

Mary Ellen McMillion, 72, passed away suddenly in her home in Noble, La on March 1st, 2023. Her wishes are that she be cremated and that she joins her mother for eternity in Chicago, IL.

Mary Ellen was born on April 21st, 1950 in Chicago IL. She grew up in Illinois until she and common law husband of 30 plus years, Harry Allen, built their home in Noble, LA around 1990.

They spent fun-filled and Sunny days boating and fishing on Toledo Bend lake together.

This home became a sort of safe haven for all! Family (and friends) who needed a place to stay had one. She had a huge heart, and she was empathetic almost to a fault. Her famous words were “What comes around goes around”. How true those words turned out to be!

GiGi, G-Dawg, Grandma Mary, or Mom - whichever one you called her, you were lucky to have such a wonderful and caring woman in your life! She was Beautiful inside and out!

She loved to pilfer outside in her roses and her many, many hummingbird feeders. She had just begun getting ready for spring when God called her home.

She is WELCOMED INTO HEAVEN by her partner, Harry C Allen; her parents, Robert C and Marian V (Balkey) McMillion; her brother, Michael McMillion; and her best friend of 50+ years, Kathleen Avery.

She left behind her only child, Carol A Huffman and her husband David who reside in the same home. She was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Marian ( Mandy) Linhart; Korey McMillion and his wife Tiffany; Alexandria ( Alex) Marr; Jaclynn ( Jackie) Marr; and Catherine ( Cathie) Marr.

God also blessed her with 3 beautiful great grand daughters, Zoey Jayne McMillion; Ava Lora Pauline Miller; and Kylee Elizabeth Nichole Tetu.

The family has decided to have a celebration of her life the weekend of what would have been her 73rd birthday- anyone who would like to pay your respects, It will be Saturday April 22nd from 2-5 pm. In lieu of flowers, feel free to bring a dish and come share your memories of MaryEllen - Gods newest Angel.
