He was preceded in death by his parents, Odis Clayton Faust, Sr. and Doris (Stewart) Faust; brother- in-law, Rod Hopkins, sister-in-law, Janet Fowler, and brother-in-law, Dooley Fowler.

He is survived by his wife, Johanna Tannehill Faust of Many, LA; daughter, Jennifer Buhigas and husband Pedro of the Woodlands, TX; sons, Nic Faust and wife Kristi (Kris) of Zwolle, LA and Cody Faust of Bossier City, LA; sister, Frances Hopkins of Many, LA; brother, Shelby Faust and wife Pam of Bethany, OK: five grandchildren: Summer (Kinzi) Faust, Taylor Faust, and Brock Faust of Zwolle, LA, Isabel Buhigas of the Woodlands, Texas, and Brody Faust of Bossier, LA; brother-in-law, Brian Tannehill of Many, LA; sister-in-law, Katie French and husband John of Shreveport, LA; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was one of a kind, a well-known character to those he had the pleasure of teaching or coaching in his 35 years in the Sabine Parish school system. He never met a stranger and could make anyone laugh.

Over the years, he enjoyed activities such as fishing and golfing, and he was often spotted at Northwestern State University basketball games supporting his alma mater. But his favorite pastime was none other than being “Pops” to his five grandkids of whom he was so proud.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Caddo-Bossier Cancer Foundation League, 3300 Albert Bicknell Drive, Suite 3, Shreveport, LA 71103; the Gideons International at gideons.org; or a charity of your choice.
