Rose Mary Field

Rose Field, 79, of Sulphur, Louisiana passed away on Friday, July 7, 2023 in the comfort of her own home. She was born to her late parents, Villice and Rosa Mae Procell on September 9, 1943 in Noble, Louisiana and had been a resident of Sulphur for 52 years. She was a housekeeper for Holiday Inn, Sam Houston Jones State Park, and Delta Downs Hotel before Hurricane Rita tore it up. Back in Zwolle, she worked for Sabine Retirement of Many, then went to Cypress Bend Resort before retiring back to Sulphur, Louisiana.

She is survived by her son, Winslow Field, Jr. (Michelle) of Sulphur, Louisiana; adopted daughter, Janie Miller Landry (Scott) of Moss Bluff, Louisiana; six brothers, Joseph Villice Procell (Lucille) of Hemphill, Texas, Hugh Lee Procell (Joanne) of Noble, Louisiana, Johnnie Procell (Dottie) of Noble, Louisiana, Glenn J. Procell (Barbara) of Shreveport, Louisiana, Gregory Procell (Theresa) of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Frank E. Procell (Pamela) of Noble, Louisiana; three sisters, Juanna Craig of Noble, Louisiana, Catherine Spell (Gary) of Sulphur, Louisiana, and Hazel Dyess (Harold) of Noble, Louisiana; three grandchildren, Richard Field (Amanda) of Sulphur, Louisiana, Nathan Brooks (Kayla) of Alton, Illinois, and Joshua Brooks of Sulphur, Louisiana; along with thirteen great grandchildren.

Rose is preceded in death by her loving husband, Winslow Field, Sr.; her parents; sister, Rita Procell; along with her great grandson, Greyson Brooks.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church in Ebarb, Louisiana on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 1:00 pm. Visitation will be at Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home in Sulphur, Louisiana on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm, with a Rosary at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Saint Ann Catholic Church Cemetery in Ebarb, Louisiana.

The family would like to thank Dr. Kevin Schlamp, all six brothers, four sisters, and a host of nieces and nephews for the love they showed her.
