Joseph Clayton “Joe” Garcie, Jr.

Mr. Joseph Clayton “Joe” Garcie, Jr., 69 of Noble, Louisiana, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at his residence. He was born on August 15, 1954 to Joseph Clayton Garcie, Sr. and Frances (Yates) Garcie in Converse, Louisiana. A visitation will be held for him on Thursday, November 2, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Kilpatrick’s Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel, 9891 Texas Highway, Many, Louisiana. A funeral of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 307 Hammond Street, Zwolle, Louisiana at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Officiating his service will be Fr. Keith Garvin.

He served in the United States Army as a heavy machine/vehicle mechanic. Upon returning home he went to work in the logging industry operating and repairing equipment while helping to raise his children. His family was the one thing he was most proud of in his life. His children and grandchildren were definitely the reason he fought so hard to return home even when he was at his sickest in life.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Frances Garcie; his son-in-law, Carey Calhoun, Sr.; and his special friend, Kathy Leone. He is survived by his daughters, D’Lana Garcie of Many, LA, Cortney Rangel & wife, Kim of Lufkin, TX; his sons, Anthony Garcie & wife, Haley of Zwolle, LA, Lance Garcie & wife, Mercedes of Many, LA; his sister, Toinette Sepulvado & husband, David of Noble, LA; and his brother, Thomas Garcie & wife, Jeanette of Noble, LA; his 8 grandchildren plus one on the way; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.

Honoring him as pallbearers will be Aidan Sepulvado, Landen Funderburk, Tanner Funderburk, Bailey DeLatin, Keaton DeLatin, Carey Calhoun, Jr., Glen Garcie, and Dewayne Mitchell. His honorary pallbearers will include Garrett Sepulvado, Jaydan DeLatin, Earl Pearce, Coon Sepulvado, David Meshell, Clutch Sepulvado, Joe Doug Rivers, Sammie Mouser, Howard Rivers, and Eddie Remedies.
