Freddie Rivers

Funeral services for Freddie Rivers, 83, of Zwolle, LA, will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Tim Hurd officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Thursday, November 16, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Zwolle, LA with a rosary beginning at 6:00 PM.

Freddie Rivers was born on Thursday, August 22, 1940 in Zwolle, LA. He passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at his residence in Zwolle, LA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha “Ann” Martinez Rivers; parents, Reasing and Margie Rivers and brother, Glenn Rivers.

He is survived by his four children Jeff Rivers and Jody Winkler, Ron Rivers, Melinda Malmay and husband Tim, Shannon Rivers and Tracy Elliot. Grandchildren: Kyle Martinez and Valerie, Kent Martinez and April, Kendl Anderson and Aaron, Kade Martinez and Jake, Chanse Malmay and Madelyn, Gage Malmay, Trystan Ezernack and Vikki, Trayce Ezernack and Skyler LaRoux, Great grandchildren: Peyton, Paul Francis, John Frederick, Keegan, Thomas, Bennett, AnnaBelle, Owen, Emmitt, Rowan, Kollins, Charli, Tynslee and Jaxsyn; sisters: Marjorie Procell, Sharon Ebarb and Karen Garcie; brothers: Thomas Rivers, Sammy Rivers, Allen Rivers and Larry Rivers; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Pallbearers: Kyle Martinez, Kent Martinez, Kade Martinez, Gage Malmay, Trystan Ezernack and Trayce Ezernack.

Honorary Pallbearers: Kendl Anderson, Pat Rivers and Chanse Malmay.
