James “Bo” Brown

Mass of Christian Burial for James “Bo” Brown, 79, was held April, 9, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle with Father Timothy C. Hurd V.F. Burial followed at Converse Cemetery in Converse. Bo was born December 8, 1935 to Virgil  and Mary Ann Sepulvado Brown and passed away April 1, 2015. Bo retired after 25 years with Disney Land in California.
Bo was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Lou Blanchard and brother DeWitt Brown. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving companion of 15 years, Doris Rivers; daughter, Shonna Hill; sister Dorothy Green;  brotherin- law Jack Blanchard and two grandchildren. Honoring the life of Bo as pallbearers were Maury “Bubby” Leone, Wayne Whitlow,
Gary Rivers, Timco Sepulvado, Clint Paddie and Wesley Martinez. Honorary Pallbearerswere Paul Meshell, Benny Garcie and George Rachel. Rose-Neath Funeral Home

Tommie Dell Barnhill Childs

Tommie Dell Barnhill Childs of Pasadena, Texas passed away on Sunday March 22, 2015. Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Cedar Grove Baptist Cemetery in Many with Glen Hardy officiating. Tommie was born on Oct. 20, 1936 in Monahans, Texas to the late James Bernice Barnhill and Cloda Vueleman. She was preceded in death by sister, Mitty Oberdorf. She is survived by her children, James Herring and wife, Cynthia of Granite Shoals, Texas, Melody Herring of Pasadena, Texas, Debra Perry and husband, Gary, of La Porte, Texas and Barbara Kirkley and husband, William, of Williamson, Ga.; sister, Doris Downden and husband, Sammy, of Ragley and Beverly Welker of Farmington, Ill.; brother, Jerry Barnhill of Lytle, Texas; seven grandchildren and seven greatgrandchildren.

Winifred Joy Walraven

Funeral services honoring the life of Winifred Joy Walraven, 68, of Zwolle were held on April 9 at Rose-Neath Funeral
Home in Many. The Rev. Doug Sanders pastor of Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church officiated. Interment followed in
the Aimwell Cemetery of Zwolle. Winifred was born in Zwolle to Houston and Lola Barnett Winslow on November 7, 1946.
She entered into eternal rest in Shreveport at Willis-Knighton Hospital on April 6, 2015. She was preceded in death by

A funeral mass honoring the life of Oliver Glenn Elliott, 71, of Noble, was held on April 8 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Zwolle. Father Timothy Hurd officiated. Interment followed in St. Catherine’s cemetery in Noble. Oliver was born on Dec. 4, 1943 in Converse. He entered into eternal rest on April 6, 2015 at Many Healthcare North.  He was preceded in death  by his parents, Glenn Elliott and Mary Santos Malmay. Theodore Wayne Anthony, Sr.

Theodore Wayne Anthony, Sr. (Wayne), affectionately known as “Mr. A,” “Papa,” and “Lil’ Bub,” will be greatly missed.
Wayne passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at 4:15 p.m. at the age of 93.Wayne was a native of Many, a graduate of Negreet High School, and retired from Schuylkill Metals after many years of dedicated service.
He is survived by his son, Dr. Theodore (Ted) Wayne Anthony, Jr. of Alexandria; daughter, Kathy Bernice Bullen, and
husband, Bernie Bullen, of San Diego, Calif.; granddaughter, Megan Ashley Embrey, of Denver; great grandson, John Henry Kuykendall of Alexandria and sister-in-law, Juanita (Nita) Anthony of Orange, Texas. James McFerrin

Funeral Services for Milton James McFerrin, 96, of Zwolle, were held on April 12 at the Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel in Many with the Rev. Jerry Penfield officiating.Burial followed in the Belmont Cemetery in Belmont. Milton James McFerrin was born on Tuesday, March 11, 1919 in Sabine Parish. He passed away on Friday, April 10, 2015 at Toledo Nursing Center in Zwolle. Mr. McFerrin served in the Army Air Corp in WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Alice Sebren McFerrin; wife of 70 years, Nonnette McFerrin and daughter, DeeDee McFerrin Koss. Rev. Jimmie J. Townsend

Funeral services for the Rev. Jimmie J. Townsend were held April 1 at Calvary Baptist Church in Many, with the Reverends Cyle Clayton and C. M. Kelly officiating. Burial followed at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Many.The Rev. Jimmie “Jim” J. Townsend was born in Many on Wednesday, July 24 1946. He passed away Sunday eve-ning March 29 at his home in Many.Jim proudly served in the United States Navy for 24 years, retiring as a Senior Chief Petty Officer. While in the Navy, he met and married the love of his life, Joyce Fitz-Simon on July 14, 1970. The Lord blessed Jim and Joyce with two children, a son, Jimmie Joe, and a daughter, Michelle. Upon retirement, they returned to Many and their family land. For several years Jim worked for Sabine State Bank, but his great desire was to serve the Lord and his family.He was a devout member and faithful deacon at Calvary Baptist Church in Many when he was called to the preaching ministry.

Funeral services for Loy Sherman Weldon, 81, of Lone Star, Texas, were held on March 31 at Peason United Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Brooks Coburn officiat-ing. Burial followed in the Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Loy Sherman Weldon was born on Monday, June 26, 1933 in Bellwood. He passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at his home in Lone Star, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Ida Weldon; brother, Amos Glen Weldon; sister, Sylvia Wel-don Walker and son, Wallace “Tidley” Weldon.
