Christian Curt Peterson

Chris Peterson, son of Jan Merten (spouse Joe) of Bossier City and Jack Peterson (spouse, Gale) of Houston, Texas, went to be with our Lord on September 21, 2020, after a long battle with COPD. He was preceded in death by his sister, Inger (Peterson) Arnold; nephew, Buddy Arnold; aunt, Katie (Bappe) Pieper; uncle, David Bappe (spouse Norma); cousin, Danny Bappe; maternal grandparents, Dave Bappe and Charlotte Brown; paternal grandparents, Doris and Harold Peterson. Family survivors include his brother, Tucker Merten (spouse Rebecca) of Shreveport; brother-in-law, Jimmy Arnold (spouse Lori); niece, Jill (Arnold) Morris (spouse James) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; nephews, Matt Arnold (spouse Courtney), Tulsa, Oklahoma; John Merten of Shreveport; David Edwards (spouse Ashley) of El Paso, Texas; cousins, Christine Pieper; Jimmy Bappe; and Bobby Bappe; four grandnieces; three grand nephews; and a host of friends.

Bobbie Tooke Boudreaux

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Bobbie Boudreaux were held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at First United Methodist Church of Zwolle with Rev. Lisa Turnbull officiating; interment immediately followed at Bayou Scie Cemetery in Zwolle. Bobbie was born January 19, 1934 in Zwolle to Mary Julia (McGurk) Tooke and James Arthur Tooke and she entered into rest on September 23, 2020 in Crowley, Louisiana. One of her biggest accomplishments she was so proud of was the fact that her senior year at Belmont High School she was a member of the Powerhouse women’s basketball team that were state champions in 1953. Mrs. Bobbie worked many years as an assistant manager for Bell South telephone company. She took great pride in having this job and she strived to make sure her position was completed with the utmost professionalism.

Frankie L. Piscitelli

Frankie L. Piscitelli Frankie Piscitelli, beloved wife, mother, sister, friend, and neighbor, died peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2020, in her home. She was born in Many to Ellis and Bessie Sibley on April 30, 1928, and graduated from Many High School in 1946. Frankie Lee was one of seven children and joined the U.S. Army-Air Corps, stationed with the Weather Cartography Unit in San Francisco. It is there she met her husband, Domenic, a veteran of three wars: WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. He preceded her in death 35 years ago, from lung cancer. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Robert, Helen, Clara, Elsie, Ellis Ray, and Kitty.

Rhodie Golden

Rhodie Golden, age 75, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 13, 2020 in Mansfield.

Funeral services honoring the life of Rhodie Golden were held on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield. Officiating the service was Bro. Chucky Clark. Interment followed the service at Cassell Cemetery in Converse.

Rhodie was born on April 4, 1945 in Converse to the late Homer and Pearl Golden. He was a truck driver for years, who loved to tell a good joke to anyone who would listen.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Stacy Golden and TJ McCall; one brother, EC Golden; five sisters, Mary Thurkill, Jeanette Ross, Adele Roberts, Beatrice Manshack, and Elsie Mouser.

Stephen Weston White

Stephen Weston White

Stephen White, a son of Sabine Parish who was a loyal mentor, leader, competitor, and humble servant of God and humanity, left this world on Sept. 14, in Natchitoches.

Born on Dec. 29, 1983 in Shreveport, Weston was the son of Billy and Sandra White of Many. He was baptized at the First Pentecostal Church in Many. Even as a child, he was fearless and full of life. He attended church camp in Tioga annually, fished the Sabine River, and mastered the use of every tool or gadget he acquired. His earliest confidantes were his brothers, Willie and Waylon, who shared his love for adventure, whether it be building, sports, bicycle riding, or innocent mischief. He was even considered a sandwich connoisseur by his wide circle of friends.

Earl Ray Stutts

Funeral services honoring the life of Earl Stutts were held on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Louisiana. Officiating the service was Rev. Roger Bynog, Jr. Interment followed the service at Old Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Earl was born on April 8, 1982 to Earl Franklin Stutts and Louise Smith Stutts. He entered into eternal rest on August 28, 2020.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Earl and Louise Stutts. He is survived by his daughters, Adriana and Mindi Stutts; sister, Barbara Bynog and husband Roger; brothers, Gerald LaCour and wife Lori; Thomas LaCour and wife Yolanda; Johnny Ashlock and wife Angela; and James Ashlock; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

Honoring Earl as pallbearers were Johnathan Ashlock, Zeke Ashlock, Chad Dupre’, Michael Fish, Jesse Hardy, and Terry Williamson.

Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Jesse Ruybal

Margaret Wesley Love

February 19, 1934 – August 30, 2020

Funeral services for Margaret Wesley Love were held on Saturday, September 5, 2020, in the Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria, with the Reverend Emitte Belgard officiating. Interment followed in Bethel Cemetery in Colfax.

In her earlier years, Margaret enjoyed league bowling and playing bridge. A homemaker, Margaret had resided in Crowley; Lake Charles; New Iberia; Erath, and lastly at a care facility in Many. She loved cooking, especially during the holidays.

When the love of her life, J. D. Love, went to be with our Lord November of 2002, it forever changed the heart and mind of Margaret. J. D. died one month and one day short of their 50th Wedding Anniversary.

Those left to cherish her memory are daughter, Deborah (husband John) Gillard; brother, Percy (Melba) Wesley; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; numerous nieces; nephews; other family members; and friends.

Funeral services for James Bart Crittenden, 49, of Hornbeck, were held on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at Warren Meadows Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Hickman and Bro. Daymon Crittenden officiating. Burial followed in the Pine Knot Cemetery. Due to the COVID restrictions you are required to wear a mask.

James Bart Crittenden was born on Friday, July 2, 1971 in Bossier City. He passed away on Monday, August 31, 2020 at Our Lady of The Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Norman Crittenden and Mary Jane (Love) Crittenden; sister, Kellie Barnhill; and his brother, Jeffery Brian Crittenden.

Nicholaus “Nick” Louis Hightower

Funeral services were held for Nicholaus Hightower, age 43, at Summerfield High School Gymnasium in Summerfield, Louisiana, on Sunday, September 6, 2020, with Rev. Wilton Anthony, officiating. Interment followed at Hebron Cemetery near Summerfield.

Nick was born on January 9, 1977, in Ruston, to Joe and LaVerne Dazenko Hightower. He entered into rest on Sunday, August 30, 2020, in Many. Nick graduated from Summerfield High School in 1994, and went on to Louisiana Tech to pursue a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology. After graduation he went on to work at Kimberly-Clark in Paris, Texas, where he met his wife, Shasta. Over the years he worked at James Hardie Building Products and then went on to work at Weyerhaeuser in Zwolle; where he was currently employed.

He had a huge passion for his family and his career. He had such a generous heart and was always there to lend a hand and teach others anything he could.

James Glen Myers

James Myers, age 80, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 31, 2020, at his home in Pelican, Louisiana. Glen was born on July 28, 1940, in Provencal, Louisiana to Rev. J. N. Myers and Mirial Roberts Myers. His family moved to Pelican in 1951 when Bro. Myers became the pastor of the Pelican Baptist Church.
