Tigers face toughest challenge, top Oakdale

The Many Tigers faced a tough challenge on Halloween night, Oct. 31, but overcame the Oakdale Warriors 45-27 at
the end of the match. Things were complicated immensely by usual starting quarterback Xavier Dias being absent from the game, but stand-in quarterback Tabarius Garner did an admirable job in leading the Tigers through victory through the adversity

Menard no match for mighty Tigers

The Many Tigers spoiled the Holy Savior Menard Eagles homecoming on Oct. 24, by soundly defeating them 41-3 The win brings the Tigers to 8-0 on the season and was an important stepping stone to their ultimate goal of a state championship at the Super Dome later this year.

Many Youth Football kicks off with a great first year

Brad Pickett approached Many Mayor Ken Freeman for support with a new youth football league organized under the Natchitoches League. Sabine Parish can take care of its’ own children and as a result Mayor Freeman offered for the town of Many to obtain the necessary license, insurance and equipment so that the town could fund and sponsor this league rather than go out of the parish for support.

Tigers tackle Rosepine, remain undefeated

The Many Tigers, well underway toward an undefeated season and return to the Super Dome in New Orleans, soundly defeated the Rosepine Eagles in district play at an away game on Oct. 17 by a score of 41-0. The Tigers, dressed in their away white jerseys and carrying the coveted hard hat and sledgehammer, entered the field as triumphantly to walk away with the victory, despite early challenges by the Rosepine offensive.

The Many Tigers continued  their roll against the Pickering Red Devils on Oct. 10 at Tiger Stadium in Many. The Tigers put up 382 total yards on offense and two defensive touchdowns in the 54-7 District 3-2A opener for both teams. The Tigers won the coin toss, and as usual deferred to the second half. Pickering’s first offensive possession was marked by a missed pass and several penalties. After going for it on fourth down, the Tigers took over for their first offensive possession

Annual “Red Out” game brings Tiger victory

During the annual “Red Out” game to raise awareness for congenital heart defects, the Many Tigers took on the Loyola Flyers of Shreveport and came out with another rout, putting up a total of 30 points on the scoreboard compared to the opponent’s three. In quite a show, the entire defense brought out the sledgehammer.
