Jimmy Don Anderson

Jimmy Anderson, 79 of Many, Louisiana was born on October 16, 1944, to George Oscar Anderson and Vernon (Pilcher) Anderson in Sabine Parish, Louisiana and he passed away at his residence on November 7, 2023.

He was a welder by trade and he stayed very busy with this profession. If anyone had anything that was broken or not working correctly they would bring it to him to work on. He was a jackof- all trades and enjoyed tackling new and different projects.The thrill of repairing these things is something that made him happy. Some of his favorite hobbies included him working outside and piddling with his welding projects. He also liked having a vegetable garden, playing his music, and picking his guitar.

Leon Sepulvado was born on Friday, December 20, 1940 in Zwolle, Louisiana. He entered into rest on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Kim Sepulvado Bedsole; parents, John and Josephine (Cartinez) Sepulvado; four brothers and five sisters.

Janice Salley Jones

A memorial service honoring the life of Janice Salley Jones of Many will be held on Wednesday, November 29 at 5:30 p.m. at Warren Meadows Funeral Home in Many.

She was born in Haughton, Louisiana, on February 21, 1943, and passed away following several escalating illnesses at her Many home on October 4, 2023 with her son, Daniel, by her side.

“Nano,” as she was affectionately called first by her grandchildren and then children, graduated from Northwestern State University and served many years as a Registered Nurse at the Sabine Parish Health Unit in a position she felt truly helped other people. After retirement, she loved the time spent with family and especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Vonnie Lee and Elsie Youngblood Salley; brother, Harold Lee Salley; sister, Marian Lynette Ammons; husband, Harold Edward Jones; and stepson, Michael Jones.

Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, beginning for the family at 4:00 pm and the public from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Zwolle, LA. A Rosary will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday at Warren Meadows Funeral Home, Zwolle, LA.

Argerine Ebarb Day was born on Wednesday, April 20, 1938 in Noble, LA. She passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at her home in Shreveport, LA.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary M. Ebarb; sister, Annie Ruth Payne; brothers, Murice Ebarb, John Curtis Ebarb and Eugene Ebarb; grandmother, Annie Ebarb.

Funeral Services celebrating the life of Mrs. Murlee Everett Walker Wilbanks, 91, of Monroe, LA, will be 2:00 PM Friday, November 3, 2023, at Lakeshore Baptist Church, with Rev. William Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Ogden Cemetery in Liddieville, LA. Arrangements are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe.

Mrs. Wilbanks was born April 23, 1932, and went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 31, 2023. She was a member of Lakeshore Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilbanks enjoyed traveling, being outdoors, gardening, listening to gospel music, working in her yard. She was a fierce dominos player, and enjoyed cooking and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Jessie Mann Everett; two brothers, Luther Lee Everett and Bobby Joe Everett; and three sisters, Billie Winn Thrower, Linda Nell “Lynn” Lewis, Betty Sue Smith; and husband John Henry Walker.

Dr. Fred Wesley Thomas

Dr. Fred Wesley Thomas, of Abbeville, died Thursday, October 19, 2023, at home, each hand being held by a loving daughter and stepdaughter. Born December 2, 1931, in Orange, Texas, Dr. Thomas lived an extraordinary and fascinating life, having a positive impact on countless people for almost 92 years. His memory will be treasured by thousands of patients, many business partners, more friends that can be counted, and a devoted and loving extended family. A calm and dignified man, he also possessed a gentle and lively sense of humor. He had that rare and precious gift of listening, a critical trait for his career as a physician, but also for his relationships with people from all ages and walks of life. He was always curious about everything and everyone he met. The only child of Dr. Fred Williams Thomas and Luella Parker Thomas, Dr. Fred had an unusual childhood.

Pauline “Polly” Ebarb Verges Moyer

Pauline Moyer died on October 9, 2023 in Nashville, Tennessee. Born and raised in Zwolle, Louisiana as the 6th of 9 children, Polly was valedictorian of her Zwolle High School senior class and graduated with a BA degree from Northwestern State College in Natchitoches. She worked as a stenographer for Esso (Standard Oil) Refinery where she met her first hus band Daniel Leon Verges; they married in 1950 and raised five children. After Dan died, Polly married again in 1980 to Maurice W. “Mike” Moyer of Baton Rouge, and the couple enjoyed a long life together with their combined families until Mike’s death in 2015. Polly then moved to Nashville to be near family.
