Funeral services for Sandra Butters, 54, will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home, 9891 Texas Hwy, Many, Louisiana. A burial will follow at Aimwell Cemetery, 2435 Hwy 1215, Zwolle, Louisiana. A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Officiating the service will be Brother James McKenzie.

Sandra was born on January 30, 1970 to Odis Armstrong and Ivie Nell Warren in Many, Louisiana and passed away Friday, May 10, 2024 in Jasper, Texas.

Sandra was preceded in death by her mother. She is survived by her father and sons, Raymond Butters of Oelwein, Iowa and Brandon Butters and wife, Crystal, of Lufkin, Texas; daughter, Heather Fuentes and husband, Anthony, of Big Spring, Texas; sister, Joy Atkinson and husband, Dan, of Rye, Texas; brother, Ray Armstrong of Zwolle, Louisiana; and 6 grandchildren, Laiza, Ysenia, Michael, Aurora, Vico, and Noah.

Rose Therese Anderson Gatti

Rose Gatti, 69, of Many, Louisiana passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on December 14, 1954 to Weldon B. Anderson and Cleta McCormic Anderson. A rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m. on May 18, 2024 at St. John Catholic Church in Many, Louisiana. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. with an internment to follow at St. John Cemetery.

Rose’s working life revolved around numbers. She was a bookkeeper for the clinic for many years, and later for St. John’s Catholic Church, where she was a highly active member. She worked for the water department reading meters and the Census Bureau. Rose was well known for saying the Rosary before Saturday masses and her banana pudding.

Burial followed at Prewitts Chapel Cemetery in Hornbeck, Louisiana. A visitation was held Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Officiating the service was Pastor Wayne Chance and Rev. Price Harris.

Dorothy was born on September 25, 1927 to Charles C. West and Jane Funderburk West in Barham, Louisiana and passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 in Shreveport.

In Memory of Evelyn Miles Luck Evelyn Luck was born February 23, 1929 in Pleasant Hill, Louisiana. She was the youngest of three children born to Sam and Emma Miles. She passed away peacefully on December 18, 2023 in Garland, Texas having lived 94 years. She is survived by her children Robert Luck and his wife Kathy of Rowlett, TX, Sharon Lyerly and her husband Rick of San Antonio, Texas and Laura Maunsell and her husband Todd of Ft Worth, TX, as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Emma Miles, her sisters, Ruth Bozeman and Gloria Temple, her husband Robert H. Luck and her daughter Linda Luck Milligan.

John Bailey Sr., 89, of Many, Louisiana was born on September 24, 1934, in Ottumwa, Iowa to Madeline( Lottridge) and Roy Edward Bailey. John was a self-employed entrepreneur of many businesses relating to construction. John was the youngest of five children. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 6, 2024, at his residence.

John married and later divorced Lavinia Hein. They had four children, Kenneth Dwight Bailey, Lynnette Marie Bailey, Stephanie Kay Ellis (Scott), and John Dwight Bailey Jr.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Madeline and Roy Bailey Sr.; and his son Kenneth Dwight Bailey. He is survived by his children Lynnette Bailey, Stephanie Ellis (Scott), and John Dwight Bailey, Jr. His Grandchildren Caleb Bailey, Amber Bailey Dau, Joshua Hornback, Elizabeth Ellis, Lauren Ellis, Richard Atwood, Riley Bailey, Brooke Bailey, Brianna Bailey and 6 great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other family members.

Kenneth Deloy Knippers was born on Wednesday, August 13, 1941 in Zwolle, LA. He passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 in Mansfield, LA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Melinda Knippers and his parents, Norris Deloy Knippers and Mandy Marie (Williams) Knippers. He is survived by his sister, Carolyn Isgitt of Many, LA; sister-in-law, Sherry Williams and husband, Ray of Belmont, LA; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Kevin Leone, Lance Leone, Andrew Newman, Josh Simmons, Parker Leach, and Jacob York.

Rodney Michael “Spot” DeRouen

Rodney DeRouen, 80, passed away in Lake Charles, LA on Friday, March 15, 2024. He was born on July 21, 1943, in New Iberia, Louisiana, to Francis and Delta Mae Geoffroy DeRouen.

Rodney worked for South Central Bell for 33 years. He was a faithful Catholic, deeply involved in his faith community, serving in Cursillo #83, A.C.T.S., Knights of Columbus, and as an altar server at St. Terance Mission Church of Toledo Bend until the age of 76. He also trained altar servers and sponsored candidates through the RCIA program. Rodney served on the South Toledo Bend Water District Board for 17 years, holding the record as the longest-standing board member.
