Beasley, Byrd, Williams honored posthumously by Sabine Hall of Fame

Three local men, each outstanding in their own careers, are being honored posthumously by the Sabine Hall of Fame. Composing the trio are Samuel Beasley, C.B. Byrd and Eddie Lee Williams. Samuel L. Beasley Sr. Samuel L. Beasley, Sr. was born May 28, 1939 in the Natchitoches parish settlement of Flora, La. Beasley was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church where he served as Chairman of the Deacon Board and played a pivotal role in the construction of the Macedonia’s
current edifice.

national Brain Injury Awareness Month.

Council adopts two new ordinances

At the regular meeting of the Town of Many council, two new ordinances were adopted unanimously. The first of the two ordinances adopted amended a previous ordinance in reference to domesticated animals or pets. The original ordinance now has two additions. The first addition makes it unlawful for any person to allow or permit a dog in their possession or custody from running at large on any public or private property.

Phillips crowned Miss BPCC

Larissa Phillips, the 18-year-old daughter of Lee and Collette Phillips, the youngest of three children, was crowned the 25th Annual Miss Bossier Parish Community College on Feb. 22. A Zwolle resident, Phillips enrolled in BPCC during the fall of 2012.

The Town of Many will be conducting a leak test in the sanitary sewer systems by blowing smoke into these pipes during the coming week, beginning Monday, Feb. 24, and running through Thursday, Feb. 27 This smoke test will reveal sources
of sewer odors in neighborhoods, as well as places where some and other surface waters are entering the sanitary 
system

CEO Jay Quebedeaux looks to future of Sabine Medical Center

Jay Quebedeaux has only been Chief Executive Officer of Sabine Medical Center since Sept. 2013, but he’s already making
a big impression on the community. Quebedeaux first came to Many as Chief Operating Officer in June, 2012 from North Metro Medical Center in Little Rock. He was promoted to CEO of the local facility and since then has made great efforts to settle in the community and become known.
