Kids delight in Sabine SNOW!!

snowman better than anyone in Sabine Parish Friday morning, Jan. 24. After a little help building her Many Tiger  heerleader
snowgirl, she happily gave her a kiss, which surely melted her heart!!

Zwolle adventurer joins cast of “Swamp People”

Roger Rivers, who was born and raised in Zwolle, has been described as “larger-than-life”. His reputation for dangerous adventures, like stalking the banks of Toledo Bend Lake hunting, fishing (He once hooked a 75-pound catfish on Toledo Bend!) and doing all the things credited to country boys, has earned him a spot as the newest cast member of “Swamp People”, shown on the History channel.

Jury updated on ambulance service, long range water planning

Frank Davis updated the members of the Sabine Parish Police Jury on issues concerning the ambulance service district and the long-range water planning committee at its most recent meeting last week. Davis advised the jury members
the district was receiving good service from the Zwolle ambulance service since MedExpress moved one ambulance from Many to Zwolle and service seemed to be improved for the Many side as well.

Poster contest opens for 150th Battle of Pleasant Hill

As part of the 150th an-niversary celebration of the Battle of Pleasant Hill, the committee will be sponsoring a poster contest. The artwork produced by the winning artist will be used on posters and t-shirts, which will be on sale at the April 4-6 celebration.

Kings Chapel hosting annual MLK March

The 19th Annual Martin Luther King March and Celebration has been set for 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 20, and is being hosted by Kings Chapel AMEC. The program will be held at New Jerusalem Baptist Church at 11 a.m., with the march beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the corner of Martin Luther King Drive and East Alabama in Many.

City Limits at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 4. Carter has a suspect in jail, but he has not been charged, she said early Monday, Jan. 5.
